Whether it’s for research, commuting safely, finding groceries, communicating with loved ones, organizing your coursework or studying for finals exam, this list contains pretty much every app for any difficulty you may encounter as a college student.

Were you too busy with other assignments and perhaps a few exams to start reading that chapter that was due tomorrow (I know I’ve been there). Or maybe your dog ate both your homework and computer. Don’t worry, SparkNotes also has an app for your device and it will also give you a quick summary of your book’s chapter you to keep up with your literature class. You also get the cool study guides to understanding the material much better. Don’t rely on it too much! You won’t have it during test times!

Don’t use it to get a passing grade rather use it to secure an A. The free version gives you a one time use, if you like it you can always subscribe to it.

If the very likely case you come across a Chemistry class, the most important fact to know and get acquit anted with are the elements. There are many apps both available in the apple or google store. These two are free and straight to the point. They’ll give you quick access to any info on the elements.

This is a very useful and easy to use MindMap app. It’ll help you organize your ideas, tasks and understand a complex subject if you give it a try. You can always create a mindmap no matter where you go of whatever subject you are researching or trying to understand.

The most powerful and popular computational software to answer just about any question and get any fact as fast as it gets now on your very phone. You can use it to get it a quick solution to a math problem, get quick facts about a particular topic in other words an answer to pretty much any question. Just make sure to use to double check your work if you are using for math purposes, don’t rely on it as you won’t have it available on exam day!.

This is another resource for online courses and lessons. Coursera is more specialized in the sciences and more difficult subjects. You’ll get lectures and courses from top instructors including studying materials (pdfs,docs,syllabus), for advanced classes in music, science, programming, photography and more. A cool feature is the fact that you can play your lecture in offline mode too.

If you are taking a language class or just want to learn a language, duolingo will make learning it all fun with your mobile device. Presented in a game-like format, you’ll get to practice speaking, reading, listening, writing and improve your vocabulary too. There are lessons for the very beginners to the most advanced users. Even if you aren’t taking a language class. If you find yourself with free time at any place, give it a try. Don’t waste time on games & other entertainment apps, make your free time useful.

একটা জরিপ করেছিলাম যেখানে দেখেছিলাম বেশীরভাগই মানুষই বেসিক থেকে শিখতে চাইতেছেন তাই তাদের কথা ভেবে বেসিক থেকেই শুরু করলাম । হ্যাকিং শিখার আগে হ্যাকিং এর বেসিক ব্যাপার গুলো জানা অত্যান্ত জরুরী । আমি আগে ই বলে নেই আমি কোনো মহাজ্ঞানী কেউ না তাই আমার লেখাতে ভুল থাকতেই পারে আশা করি যাদের পছন্দ হবে না তারা ব্লগ ভিজিট করা থেকে বিরত থাকবেন ! আমরা প্রথমেই একটা ব্যাপার মাথায় রাখবো আইডি হ্যাকার এবং ওয়েবসাইট হ্যাকার দুজনের মধ্যে আকাশ পাতাল পার্থক্য আছে । সাধারনত আইডি হ্যাকারদের কে চোর বলা হয়, এরা মানুষের প্রাইভেসিতে হাত দেয় এবং গুরুত্বপূর্ন পারসেনাল ডাটা লিক করে প্রতারনা করে । যাই হোক এ ব্যাপার এ ও আগামীতে বলা হবে । এখন আমরা হ্যাকার সম্পর্কে জানবো ।

হ্যাকারদের বিভিন্ন ধাপ ->

1. White hat Hackers >
এরা মানুষের কোনো ক্ষতি করার জন্য হ্যাকিং করে না । এদের লক্ষ্য হয় সুনির্দিষ্ট, কোনো সাইট এর সিকুউরিটি চেক করে তার রিপোট করাই এদের প্রধান কাজ । এরা নিজেদের জ্ঞানকে অন্যের উপকারে লাগায় । এদেরকে ইথিক্যাল হ্যাকার ও বলা হয় ।

এদের নিতিমালা >

নেটওয়ার্ক এর নিরাপত্তা ব্যবস্থা দেখতে তাতে প্রবেশ করতে পারবে কিন্তু কোনো ক্ষতি বা কোনো ফাইল সংগ্রহ করতে পারবেন না ।
কোনো ব্যাক্তি মালিকানাধিন অথবা প্রতিষ্ঠানের সিকিউরিটি রক্ষার খাতিরে তাদের উপস্থিতিতে বা তাদের পারমিশন সাপেক্ষে সিকিউরিটি রক্ষার কাজ করতে পারবেন কিস্তু তাদের কে না জানিয়ে কোনো কাজ করতে পারবেন না ।
সিকিউরিটিতে আঘাত করে এমন কোনো তথ্য কোথাও প্রচার করা যাবে না ।ইথিক্যাল হ্যাকারদের কাজ সাইট এর সিকিউরিটি সমস্যা বের করা এবং তা এডমিন কে জানানো সেটা সাধারনত ইমেইল অথবা অন্য কোনো মাধ্যমের উপর নির্ভর করে ।

2. Black Hat Hackers >
ব্লাক হ্যাট দের কে আন্তর্জাতিক ভাবে হ্যাকার ধরা হয় । সাধারনত এরা  stylish হয় এবং নিজ প্রয়োজনে হ্যাক করে । এরা সিকিউরিটি ব্রেক করে চরম ক্ষতি সাধন করতেও পিছু পা হয় না । এদের নির্দিষ্ট কোনো নিয়ম থাকে না এরা যা খুশি করতে পারে ।

3. Grey Hat Hackers >
white এবং ব্লাকহ্যাট এর মিশ্রনই এতে পাওয়া যায় । ব্লাক হ্যাট এর মতো এদেরও খুব শক্তিশালী নিতিমালা নেই । এরা ইথিক্যাল এবং নন ইথিক্যাল দু রকম কাজেই দক্ষ । এরা কাজের বিনিময়ে অর্থ নেয় । এরা এডমিনকে তার সিকিউরিটি এর দুবলতা ধরিয়ে দেয় এবং এরপর তা ঠিক করে দিতে টাকা নেয় ।


4. Elite hackers

এরা অত্যান্ত জ্ঞানী হন । এরা এক্সপ্লোইট বের করে এবং এডমিনকে তা জানায় । এরা ইথিক্যাল এর মতন হয় অনেকটা …

5. Script kiddie

এরা এক্সপার্ট কোনো হ্যাকারনা । পরজীবি এর মতন এরা অন্যের উপর নির্ভর করে হ্যাক করে । এরা হ্যাক করতে বিভিন্ন টুলস্ ব্যবহার করেন ।

6. Neophyte

এরা হ্যাকিং এ একদম নতুন আমার মতন । এদেরকে হ্যাকিং এর শিক্ষার্থী ও বলা হয় ।

7. Blue hat

এরা বিভিন্ন কোম্পানীর হয়ে তার সিকিউরিটি রক্ষার কাজ করেন । এরা অত্যান্ত মেধা সম্পন্ন হয় । এদের হ্যাকিং সিমাবদ্ধ । বর্তমানে মাইক্রোসফটও এ ধরনের হ্যাকারদের কে সিকিউরিটি চেক করার জন্য রাখছে ।
এছাড়াও বিভিন্ন হ্যাকিং গ্রুপ প্রাইভেট ভাবে অথবা সরকারী ভাবে বানানো হয় যেমন বাংলাদেশের একটি সুনামধন্য হ্যাকিংগ্রুপ আছে 3xp1r3 সাইবার আর্মি, আবার অনেকেই কোনো গ্রপে কাজ না করে Single ভাবে কাজ করেন ।

ছাত্রজীবনের প্রতিটা সেকটরে আমাদের চ্যালেঞ্জের মধ্য দিয়ে যেতে হয়। ক্লাসের পড়া, এসাইনমেন্ট, এক্সাম, ফ্রেন্ড্রদের সাথে আড্ডা, বিভিন্ন প্রোগ্রাম, ফোরাম, গ্রুপিং! কত কিছু মেইনটেইন করতে হয় আমাদের!

 মাঝে মাঝে মনে হয় জীবন টা একটু সহজ হলে!

আচ্ছা যদি এমন কোন এপ থাকত, যেখানে আনলিমিটেড ফাইল, টেক্সট, ডকুমেন্ট সেয়ার করা যেত! দেখতে যেন  Cool হয়! Messenger, Whatsapp, Viber, Skype  আর ভালো লাগেনা। সবাই ত ইউজ করে এগুলা। একটু ডিফ্রেন্ট কিছু চাই! তুমার চিন্তা ভাবনা যদি এমনটাই হয়, তবে ইউজ করতে পারো- "DISCORD"

২। পারসোনাল নোটঃ

recomand করব Evernote ইউজ করতে। evernote এ তুমি যেকোন রকমের ফাইল+ গুরুত্ব পূর্ন কোন নোট লিখে রাখতে পারবে। পিসি বা তুমার smartphone যেটাই হোক, simple একটা account খুলে, same acoount দিয়ে তুমি যেকোন পিসি , smartphone যেখানে ইচ্ছা লগিন করে তুমার সেভ করা নোট গুলো দেখে নিতে পারো।

৩। টাইমটেবিলঃ

ক্লাসের প্রথম দিন টাইমটেবিল টা হাতে পেয়ে আমাদের মনে প্রথম যে চিন্তাটা আসে, তা হলো এবার পড়ে ফাটিয়ে দিব। আজকে বাসায় গিয়েই একটা রুটিন করে ফেলব, কখন কোন সাবজেক্ট পড়ব, কখন ম্যাথ করব, কখন গেমস খেলব, কখন আড্ডা দিব। কাগজ কলম নিয়েই আমরা প্ল্যান বানানো শুরু করি। একটু think করত, যদি এই কাজটাই তুমি একটা এপের মাঝে করে ফেলতে পারো, কেমন হয়? যেখানে তুমার চাহিদা মত সব থাকবে, শুধু তুমার নিজের মত করে সাজিয়ে নেয়া।

৪। Office - ডকুমেন্ট বা প্রেজেন্টেশনঃ

office এর কথা চিন্তা করলেই মাথায় চলে আসে micrOsoft office, Word, PowerPoint, Excell! তবে MS office এর এতগুলা version, অনেকেই confused হয়ে যাই কোন version টা use করব। তাছাড়া smartphone গুলোর জন্য কি আলাদা কিছু use করা যায় কিনা?

যাইহোক, তোমরা জান কিনা জানিনা, MS office 2016 Education যে version এটা শুধুমাত্র .edu domain মানে স্টুডেন্টস, টিচারদের জন্য বানানো হয়েছে। তুমার যদি কোন .edu ডোমেইন- এর email থাকে, তাহলে $149.99 ডলারের এই সফটওয়্যার টি তুমি ফ্রি তে পেয়ে যাবে। আর না থাকলে KMS বা reloader ত আছেই, তাইনা?

যারা android user তাদের জন্য best OFFICE SUITE Pro
যারা IOS/MAC user তারা Polaris বা MS Office use করতে পারো
আর Linux user দের এর জন্য Libre best


৫। বই পড়ার জন্যঃ

বর্তমানে pdf এবং epub এই দুটি ফরমেটের বই খুব দেখা যাচ্ছে। আর এপ স্টোর গুলোতে pdf reader এর অভাব নেই। এখন এত কিছুর ভীড়ে আমাদের দরকার যেটি সবচেয়ে ভালো, এবং চোখের প্রটেক্ট করে এমন একটি pdf রিডার।

পিসি ইউজার দের জন্য adobe was best, এখন adobe এর চেয়েও ভালো অনেক পিডিএফ রিডার রয়েছে। আমি recomand করব- Sumatra PDF ইউজ করতে। এটি খুব ফাস্ট এবং simple!

 যারা android user তাদের জন্য- Moon Reader Pro টা খুব ভালো, যেকোন ফরমেট সাপোর্ট করে। আর যদি simple চাও ত, GOOGLE PDF Reader ভালো।


৬। ক্লাসনোটঃ

অনেক সময় ক্লাসে কোন নোটের ফটো নিতে হয়, কিন্তু বাসায় গিয়ে দেখা যায় ফটোগুলো এক একট ভিন্ন ভিন্ন সাইজের হয়ে গিয়েছে। দেখতে কেমন বিচ্ছিরি লাগে। যদি তুমি এই নোট গুলোই PDF বা বই আকারে পেতে, কত সুবিধা হতো তাইনা?
এজন্য তুমি use করতে পারো, CamScanner


৭। ম্যাথ ক্যালকুলেটরঃ 

ধর তুমি ম্যাথ এক্সাম দিয়ে বের হলে, এখন তুমি জান না ৬নাম্বার question টার answer কত! বা ফ্রেন্ডরাও Confusion এ রয়েছে। এখন যদি এমন হয়, সেই question টার উপরে তুমার mobile টি ধরা মাত্রই তুমার answer স্ক্রিনে চলে এসেছে, তাহলে কেমন হয়?
তাহলে ডাওনলোড করে নাওঃ PHOTO MATH 

যদি এমন কোন এপ পাওয়া যেত, যেটা দেখতে হুবহু Casio Scientific Calculator  এর মত হবে, তাহলে কেমন হয়? তাহলে এখনি নিয়ে নাও Casio MS-991



৮। ডকুমেন্ট সেয়ারিংঃ

অনেক সময় পিসি তে মোবাইল থেকে অনেক ডকুমেন্ট ট্রান্সফার করতে হয়। অনেকেই ডেটা ক্যাবল ইউজ করি, অনেকেই shareit ইউজ করি, তবে যদি আরেকটু Smart কিছু ইউজ করা যেত, ধর তুমার ফোনের যেকোন ফাইলস তুমি ট্রান্সফার করার আগেই পিসি দিয়ে দেখে নিতে পারছো, সেটা হোক অডিও, ভিডিও বা ফটো!
তাহলে নিয়ে নাওঃ AirDroid

তুমার ফোনের হটসপট কানেক্ট করেই বা এক -ই LAN এর কানেকশনে ফ্রি তে যেকোন কিছু সেয়ার করতে পারবে।
আর যদি Android to Android বা IOS হয় তাহলে shareit ইউজ করতে পারো।


৯। নিউজ/পত্রিকাঃ

তুমি যে স্ট্রিমের স্টুডেন্ট ই হও না কেন, তুমার  নিশ্চই প্রিয় কিছু নিউজ সাইট বা ওয়েব সাইট রয়েছে, যেগুলোর আপডেট তুমি মিস করতে চাওনা।
ধর, আমার ইন্টারেষ্টের কথা বলি, আমি টেকনোলজি বা গিক টেক রিলেটেড সাইট খুব পছন্দ করি, হিসেব করলে সাইটগুলোর সংখ্যা কয়েকশত হয়ে যাবে।  এখন এটা ত অসম্ভব, প্রতিটা সাইটে নিয়মিত সার্ফ করা। তাই আমি সেসব সাইট গুলোর address একটা এপের ভেতর ইন্সার্ট করে দিয়েছি, এখন নতুন যে পোষ্ট ই হোক না কেন, আমি সাথে সাথে সেটি পড়তে পারছি, কষ্ট করে বার বার সেই সাইটে ভিজিট করতে হচ্ছেনা।

এতক্ষন যে বিষয় টা  নিয়ে কথা বললাম, সেটা হলো RSS FEED. RSS FEED কি সেটা গুগল করলেই বুঝে যাবে।

প্রথমে তুমাকে feed.ly থেকে একটা account খুলে নিতে হবে, তারপর সেখানে তুমার প্রিয় ওয়েব সাইট গুলো এড করে দাও, ব্যাস, এখন তুমি যদি PC USER হও, তাহলে নামিয়ে নাও, NEXTGEN

আর যদি মোবাইল ইউজার হও, নামিয়ে নাও, FEEDLY

এরপর তুমার সেই feedlyএর যে পাসওয়ার্ড আর ইমেইল ছিল সেটি দিয়ে feedly বা NEXTGEN এ লগ ইন করে নাও।


১০। স্ক্রিনশটঃ

যারা পিসি ইউজার তাদের জন্য আলাদা করে কোন screenshot এপ নেয়ার প্রয়োজন নেই। তবে ব্রাওজারের জন্য মাঝে মাঝে পুরো website এর স্ক্রিনশট নেয়ার প্রয়োজন হয়। এজন্য বেষ্ট হলো, 1Click 

যারা android user তাদের ফোনের ডেফল্ট কিছু কি চাপলেই স্ক্রিনশট হয়ে যায়, তবে মাঝে মাঝে Customize করার প্রয়োজন পড়ে। কোন কিছু হাইলাইটের জন্য বা টেক্সট-ইমুজি এড করার জন্য, তাই ইউজ করতে পারোঃ FooView
এই এপ দিয়ে তুমি মাল্টিপল টেক্সট কপি করার পর সব কপি করা TEXT গুলো ক্লিপ বোর্ডের মত থেকে যাবে।


১১। EYE-Protector:

অনেকেই laptop বা mobile এ ঘন্টার পড় ঘন্টা বই পরে কাটিয়ে দেয়। দীর্ঘক্ষণ এভাবে Display-এর দিকে তাকিয়ে থাকলে চোখের বারো-টা বেজে যায়। তাই ইউস করতে পারো এই software টি।
যারা windows 10 USER, তাদের জন্য default করে night mode option দিয়ে রাখা হয়েছে (after 1709 version)

যারা Mac, win7, 8, 8,1 ইউজার তারা ইউজ করতে পারো, Flux

১২। মিডিয়া প্লেয়ারঃ

দিনের অনেকটা সময় আমরা Youtube দেখে কাটাই, অনেকেই টিভি দেখি, গান শুনি বা মুভি দেখি।  যদি এই সবগুলা ফিচার একসাথে পাওয়া যায়, কেমন হয়?
এজন্য Download করে নাও, Cherry Player

এটি দিয়ে তুমি Youtube, VK, twitch, billboard, BBC, lastfm, IPTV বা তুমার কাস্টম যেকোন মিডিয়া তুমি প্লে করতে পারবে। TV এর জন্য অনলাইন থেকে m3u8 চ্যানেল লিস্ট খুজে নিতে হবে।


১৩। অক্সফোর্ড ডিকশনারীঃ 9th Edition

এই ডিকশনারী সম্পর্কে ডিটেল কিছু বলার নেই। সবাই জানো এটা world এর best ডিকশনারী। পুরো ডেটাবেজ ডাওনলোড করে নাও।
 Android user রা install এর পর Data file টিকে Phone Memory>Android>Data তে পেস্ট করে ডাও।
IOS User রা শুধু ইন্সটল করলেই হবে।

For those who do not have any mahrams in saudi, then another way is to get your mahram (husband, brother, father, father-in-law, son etc.) to apply along with you. And finally, to live in Saudi can be done by your mahram (husband only) calling you over once he has his own place and is working there in the Kingdom.
I will discuss these below:

Studying The Deen In Saudi

Saudi has four main universities where the deen is taught at a high level.
– Islamic University of Madinah, (Madinah, Saudi Arabia)
– Umm Al-Qura University (Makkah, Saudi Arabia)
– Imam University (Riyadh, Saudi Arabia)
– Daar Al-Hadith (al-Khayriyyah) (Makkah, Saudi Arabia)
UPDATE: A full list of the Saudi Government Universities can be found on this page. Masha-Allaah there’s quite a lot of Universities in the Kingdom…

– Madinah University:

As for Madinah University, then there are no courses for sisters. Madinah University only caters for brothers and brothers only.
UPDATE: Madinah University May be planning to extend their University to also accept female students. They are making progress in terms of the sisters’ facilities, and we may see something more concrete next year – and Allah knows best. Not only does this open the door to sisters who want to apply, but also could potentially make it much easier for married students.
UPDATE: (31/03/10) With regards to sisters studying the deen in saudi while their husbands are students in Madeenah uni, the following can be considered:
“There are women teachers of course, but the male scholars have the most famous halaqaat (in Masjid Un-Nabawi), and they also teach the sisters.
There are basically two main types of women’s teaching which is done by men.
* At the Masjid An-Nabawi, the audio is transferred from the shaykh’s microphone and broadcast into a certain area of the women’s section (which is completely separate, unlike Makkah, which is partially separate). The women who want to learn from that shaykh sit in that certain place, so that they can hear the audio.
* In the Islamic institutions, colleges, etc. – They teach via one way video link, and the sisters have an audio link and a classroom assistant who manages the whole thing. The shaykh can hear their questions, but can’t see them, and they can both see and hear the shaykh. The classroom assistant is a woman who makes sure they all behave themselves. There is an amazing 3 year course which is taught in this manner by some of the major scholars in Madinah.
I know there are women who teach as well, and I’m sure there are some prominent people of knowledge amongst them, but they don’t have a really open role, and the major halaqaat are still taught by the male scholars.
Allah knows best.”
So if sisters can learn the Arabic language (which can also be done while they are there in Madeenah via private tuition) they can then “attend” the halaqahs by the noble shaykhs at Masjid An-Nabawi.

– Umm Al-Qura University:

As for Umm Al-Qura University, then sisters can apply here as they do cater for sisters. Sisters would, however, need to apply with their mahram or already have a mahram living in Makkah throughout her time there. Unlike the other three universities, Umm Al-Qura is not solely an Islamic University, it is just like any other university in Saudi Arabia, however one of its departments/faculties is Islamic Studies. The Arabic program is for two years and all classes maintain an Islamic environment where sisters can relax with their hijaab.
Like all universities listed above (excluding Daar Al-Hadith), the university pays it’s student a monthly stipend of roughly SR. 845 and also provides free hostels (accommodation) for it’s students. If a sister is there with her husband and wishes to live with him, then they can do so at their own expenditure, which will obviously be away from the main batch of hostels. If she wishes to stay in the universities hostel (which may be the case if she is there with her brother) then accommodation is free.
The tuition is likewise free, irrespective of where she stays. The students also get one free round-trip air ticket every summer holiday.

– Imam University:

As for Imam University, then this also caters for sisters.
Al-Imam Muhammad Ibn Saud Islamic University does have a women’s section, unlike the Islamic University of Madinah which is a male-only University, but this section of the University does not offer scholarships to foreign women to study. The Arab women that do attend are either housed in their own dorms or remain with family members living in Riyadh.

– Daar Al-Hadith:

As for Daar Al-Hadith, then unlike the above mentioned three universities this is not governmentally run. It also doesnt have a Arabic program which means students must already be fluent in Arabic. It only caters for sisters who are residing legally in Makkah, Saudi ‘Arabia, and show proof for their legal residence.
Best Option:
The best option for sisters would be to apply along with their mahrams to Umm Al-Qura University. However, if sisters wish to live in Saudi, then things are a bit different. Below is the information regarding that.

Living In Saudi

As for living in Saudi Arabia, then this seems to be a more easier option for sisters than it is for brothers. Brothers wishing to live in Saudi usually go on a teaching course (usually a TEFL or a CELTA) and apply for a job in Saudi Arabia. Sisters however can simply get their husbands to apply and then go over with them.
A Sister can likewise apply to a TEFL or CELTA course depending on her circumstance. As for a married sister, than it is better for her to get her husband to apply on one of the english teaching courses. Once he has passed the course, he can apply for a job in Saudi Arabia and call her over. If I’m not mistaken, she can go with him to live in Saudi Arabia from day one (unlike if her husband applies to one of the Saudi Universities and gets accepted, as this way he will have to apply once he is there, and this could be very difficult).
If her husband gets a teaching job in Saudi Arabia (and they’re in need of english teacher all the time), then usually, she needs to either be a nurse/doctor or a teacher for her to go in the Kingdom as well. Hence the reason why it is good for a sister wishing to live in Saudi to do a teaching course.

Those with a degree:

If the sister has a degree (in any subject) then a normal TEFL course is sufficient for her. These courses are usually run over a period of four weeks and further involve about 60 hours extra working at home (depending on the package you choose). This page has many institutes here in the UK which teach one to become a qualified english teacher. The best one I have found so far is this one. If you sign up to their newsletters (which I advice), then you will get special discounts on the courses. Do not be easily tricked by the “10 days left for the special discount” emails you will recieve, because they keep on having different discounts, so take your time.

Those without a degree:

For those who do not have a degree, then the best option is for you to do a CELTA course. A CELTA course is longer than the TEFL courses, however this is your option if you do not have a degree. This site and this site are two very good sites to help you in the CELTA route. In the first link, the brother has kindly uploaded all his assignments and notes for the CELTA course. The notes are, however, in a “.docx” file extension, so depending on your processor/software it may or may not open. Though I have asked the brother to re-upload them in the normal “.doc” file extensions.

Once you’re in:

Once you are in saudi, then there are several courses which sisters can enroll in – providing they get themselves a residency permit. For example in Madinah, there are some Arabic language courses for sisters who are resident here, provided by charities which operate independently of the university. Some of these courses are restricted to student’s wives only, but some of them are more flexible. Then there are some excellent courses for Arabic speaking sisters, which cover 2-3 years of quality Islamic education – not to mention the open classes by the senior scholars in Madinah.

As mentioned above there are ways to learn arabic in Saudi Arabia, however for ones own personal benefit it is best to start now. Please see the following pages:

Cookie

Cookie is a small piece of data sent by a server to a browser and stored on the user’s computer while the user is browsing. Cookies are produced and shared between the browser and the server using the HTTP Header.
It Allows server store and retrieve data from the client, It Stored in a file on the client side and maximum size of cookie that can stored is limited upto 4K in any web browser. Cookies have short time period because they have expiry date and time as soon as browser closed.
Example- when you visit YouTube and search for Bollywood songs, this gets noted in your browsing history, the next time you open YouTube on your browser, the cookies reads your browsing history and you will be shown Bollywood songs on your YouTube homepage
Creating cookie
The setcookie() function is used for the cookie to be sent along with the rest of the HTTP headers.
When developer creates a cookie, with the function setcookie, he must specify atleast three arguments. These arguments are setcookie(name, value, expiration);

  1. Name: Specifies the name of the cookie
  2. Value: Specifies the value of the cookie
  3. Secure: Specifies whether or not the cookie should only be transmitted over a secure HTTPS connection. TRUE indicates that the cookie will only be set if a secure connection exists. Default is FALSE
  4. Domain: Specifies the domain name of the cookie. To make the cookie available on all subdomains of example.com, set domain to “example.com”. Setting it to www.example.com will make the cookie only available in the www subdomain
  5. Path: Specifies the server path of the cookie. If set to “/”, the cookie will be available within the entire domain. If set to “/php/”, the cookie will only be available within the php directory and all sub-directories of php. The default value is the current directory that the cookie is being set in
  6. HTTPOnly: If set to TRUE the cookie will be accessible only through the HTTP protocol (the cookie will not be accessible by scripting languages). This setting can help to reduce identity theft through XSS attacks. Default is FALSE
  7. Expires: Specifies when the cookie expires. The value: time ()+86400*30, will set the cookie to expire in 30 days. If this parameter is omitted or set to 0, the cookie will expire at the end of the session (when the browser closes). Default is 0

Necessity of Cookies

Cookies can be used for various purposes –
  • Identifying Unique Visitors.
  • Http is a stateless protocol; cookies permit us to track the state of the application using small files stored on the user’s computer.
  • Recording the time each user spends on a website.
Type of cookies
Session Cookie
This type of cookies dies when the browser is closed because they are stored in browser’s memory. They’re used for e-commerce websites so user can continue browsing without losing what he put in his cart. If the user visits the website again after closing the browser these cookies will not be available. It is safer, because no developer other than the browser can access them.
Persistent Cookie
These cookies do not depend on the browser session because they are stored in a file of browser computer. If the user closes the browser and then access the website again then these cookies will still be available. The lifetime of these cookies are specified in cookies itself (as expiration time). They are less secure.
Third Party Cookie
A cookie set by a domain name that is not the domain name that appears in the browser address bar these cookies are mainly used for tracking user browsing patterns and/or finding the Advertisement recommendations for the user.
Secure Cookie
A secure cookie can only be transmitted over an encrypted connection.  A cookie is made secure by adding the secure flag to the cookie. Browsers which support the secure flag will only send cookies with the secure flag when the request is going to a HTTPS page.
HTTP Only Cookie
It informs the browser that this particular cookie should only be accessed by the server. Any attempt to access the cookie from client script is strictly prohibited. This is an important security protection for session cookies.
Zombies Cookie
A zombie cookie is an HTTP cookie that is recreated after deletion. Cookies are recreated from backups stored outside the web browser’s dedicated cookie storage.

Sessions

PHP session: when any user made any changes in web application like sign in or out, the server does not know who that person on the system is. To shoot this problem PHP session introduce which store user information to be used across several web pages.
Session variables hold information about one single user, and are exist to all pages in one application.
Example: login ID user name and password.

Session ID

PHP code generates a unique identification in the form of hash for that specific session which is a random string of 32 hexadecimal numbers such as 5f7dok65iif989fwrmn88er47gk834 is known as PHPsessionID.
A session ID or token is a unique number which is used to identify a user that has logged into a website. Session ID is stored inside server, it is assigns to a specific user for the duration of that user’s visit (session). The session ID can be stored as a cookie, form field, or URL.
Explanation:
Now let’s have a look over this picture and see what this picture says:
In given picture we can clearly see there are three components inside it: HTTP Client, HTTP server and Database(holding session ID).
Step1: client send request to server via POST or GET.
Step2: session Id created on web server. Server save session ID into database and using set-cookie function send session ID to the client browser as response.
Step3: cookie with session ID stored on client browser is send back to server where server matches it from database and sends response as HTTP 200 OK.

Session hijacking

As we know different users have unique session ID when an attacker sniff the session via man-in-middle attack or via XSS and steal session ID or session token this is called session hijacking. When attacker sends the stealing session ID to web server, server match that ID from database stored session ID. If they both matched to each other then the server reply with HTTP 200 OK and attacker get successfully access without submitting proper Identification.
Example 1: Using the session cookies issued to the user by the server.
For example, on any website an official user logged-in, and the server has generate a session cookie SESSION-TOKEN for that user. If the SESSION-TOKEN is the cookie which recognized the session of that user, the attacker can steal the SESSION-TOKEN cookie value to login as the legitimate user. The attacker can perform a cross-site scripting or other technique to steal the cookie from the victim’s browser.
Let’s suppose the attacker steals the cookie PHPSESSID=user-raj-logged-in-2341785645. Now, he can use the cookie with the following request to post a status (HACKED!!!!!!) in the victim’s home page:

The attacker uses the cookie subjected to the authorized user, and gains control on the user’s session.
Example 2: Guessing the cookie values of users if a complicated algorithm is not used for the cookie generation.
For example, consider a website uses an algorithm to generate cookies for the users. If the user name is “raj”, then the cookie generated for the user could be “LOGINID=-772017- qszbik”. In this case, the algorithm used to generate the cookie can be as follows:
First part of the cookie is the date i.e. 7/7/2017 and second part is the arrangement of the previous and next alphabet letter for each letter of the username “John” (i.e., the previous letter for r is “q” and the following letter is “s”). If the attacker is able to break the algorithm, he might estimate the cookie of users and hack their session.

Session hijacking tutorial
For this tutorial I have targeted DVWA, here cookie name is dvwa Session.
Note: session ID for this page will change every time when we will close the browser.
Now capture the browser request using burp suite.
From given image we can see the cookie holds PHPSESSID P38kq30vi6arr0b321p2uv86k0; now send this intercepted data into repeater to observe its response.
In response you can see the highlighted data show set –cookie: dvwaSession =1 more over HTTP 200 OK response from server side.
According to developer each time a new sessionID will generate by server each time, but attacker sniff this session ID P38kq30vi6arr0b321p2uv86k0 for unauthorized login.
Next time we receive another session id when data is intercepted through burp suite i.e. PHPSESSID= gutnu601knp4qsrgfdb4ad0te3, again send this intercepted data into repeater to observe its response.
But before we perceive its response, replace new PHPSESSID from old PHPSESSID.
From given image you can observe we have replaced the SESSION ID and then generate its response in which set –cookie: dvwaSession =6 and HTTP 200 OK response from server side.  
Now change the value inside intercepted data and then forward this request to the server.
